Larma: A Unique Blend of Iranian and Indigenous Architecture

Bringing Together Tradition and Innovation in Apartment Design

The inspiration for the Larma project stems from the desire to create a design that reflects the essence of Iranian and indigenous architecture. The gable roof, a model of old and native architecture, was chosen to withstand the climatic conditions of Mazandaran, known for its heavy rainfall in winter and autumn. This traditional roof design not only serves a functional purpose but also adds a touch of nostalgia and authenticity to the building.

One of the main highlights of the Larma apartment project is the use of bricks, a symbol of Iranian architecture. By incorporating this traditional material, the design pays homage to the local culture and creates a sense of connection to the surrounding environment. Additionally, the building features shrubs and green plants on its facade, symbolizing the lush forests of Mazandaran and emphasizing the importance of sustainable design.

The realization of the Larma project involved the use of advanced design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Corona Render, and 3ds Max. These tools allowed the designer, Javad Davoodi, to bring his vision to life and create a space that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity.

With dimensions of 15 meters in width, 25 meters in length, and 30.75 meters in height, the Larma apartment project offers spacious and comfortable living spaces for its residents. Each unit is thoughtfully designed to maximize natural light and provide a sense of openness.

The design of the Larma apartment project began in July 2021 and was completed in February 2022. Situated in Royan, Iran, this project stands as a testament to the creativity and dedication of the design team.

Overcoming various challenges, the Larma project successfully incorporates elements of Iranian architecture, such as colored glass, which is believed to ward off insects and reptiles while adding a touch of beauty to the building. Additionally, the use of large and green terraces pays homage to the traditional yards of Mazandaran, creating a harmonious blend of nature and architecture.

The Larma apartment project has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2022. This prestigious award acknowledges the project's well-designed, practical, and innovative approach, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
